National Bargaining Statement for Feb. 28, 2024

Anheuser-Busch has reached a tentative collective bargaining agreement with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, which represents A-B employees at our 12 big breweries across the U.S.

Our employees are our top priority, and we are pleased to have reached a tentative agreement that continues to recognize and reward the talent, commitment, and hard work of our employees while also positioning the Company for long-term success.

This tentative agreement builds even further upon our existing industry-leading package of wages, healthcare, and retirement benefits, and it includes significant commitments to job security.

As America’s leading brewer, we take great pride in providing the best jobs in the beer industry and we look forward to formal ratification in the days ahead.

Anheuser-Busch is committed to our brewery employees, and we remain focused on securing a contract that positions them and our company for shared, long-term success. We believe that reaching an agreement before contract expiration is in the best interest of all parties, and we will continue to work toward a deal – as we have done time and time again over our 100-year relationship with organized labor.

We are meeting with Union leadership next week and fully expect to engage in meaningful discussion with the goal of securing a contract that builds on our history of providing the best jobs in the beer industry.

As we’ve shared, we have implemented precautionary measures to ensure we will continue to bring our industry-leading brands to our valued customers and consumers across the country, in any event.

After cancelling the last four previously scheduled bargaining sessions, the Union decided to re-engage in negotiations. In the hopes of resuming good faith bargaining and making meaningful progress, Anheuser-Busch agreed to travel to Washington, D.C. this week to discuss all open items, including wages, retirement, and job security.

Union leadership shared a counter-proposal on January 25, and we are conducting a thoughtful and deliberate review.

Our goal remains to reach a timely agreement that rewards the talent, commitment, and contributions of our employees and positions our company for long-term success.

Our goal remains to reach a mutually acceptable agreement that recognizes and rewards our employees.
